This example briefly shows the flow of a memory reconstruction interview. It starts off with the participant sharing the type of background typically uncovered in face to face interviews. However, once the researcher probes further using cognitive interviewing techniques, underlying behavioral drivers and the inherently conflicting nature of emotions begin to be revealed.
